Dear PIE Community,
We are thrilled to be able to share the news with you that cuts to special education teachers and counselors supporting special education students are no longer being considered by PUSD for the 2024-2025 school year. Thank you to all of you who wrote letters, made calls and testified at school board hearings. Your input and your experience matters and your actions made a huge difference for our students.
We encourage you to write to Dr. Hawn and the School Board to express your support and thanks for their decision to remove special education cuts from the reductions list.
Thank you all so much for your hard work to ensure that voices from our community were heard in this process.

Piedmonters for Inclusive Education (formerly known as PRAISE)
PIE is a parent-led organization that works in partnership with the Piedmont Unified School District in Piedmont, California and other parent groups to create a supportive and inclusive environment for students with disabilities and learning differences, as well as their families.
Through collaboration and advocacy, PIE aims to improve educational opportunities, resources, and services for these students, and to promote awareness and understanding of their unique needs and challenges.
